Just thinking about that day scares me. I have tough skin, but deep down, WAY deep down I feel like I am pretty vulnerable still.
I remember the ache in the core of my heart that I felt after that day. Time heals all wounds.
I don't have any more pity for myself, so I'm going to find happiness. It's out there for me.
I'm off to look for it.

Sooner or later
Sweetie seems to live by the "sooner or later" mantra. I'm not going to wait around for life to happen....maybe.
This morning when he asked me for a document that he kept safe, and now is looking for, my reply was "I have no idea, but I bet it'll show up sooner or later" I'm a smart ass.

Hairupmakeister
So, backward crabwalks.......yeah, they don't agree with me.
I'm happy that my fitness class instructor gave some alternatives to this most annoying exercise.
Last night I slept so deeply that when I woke up this morning to the radio, I had to muster all of the little amount of energy I had left to get out of bed. Thank goodness all I have to do is cardio until next Monday.

Clever topics
This weekend I will be forced to come up with topics of discussion to divert attention that would be focused on me. This will be some miracle if I can manage to achieve this goal.
maybe instead of arriving with a list to talk about, I'll just dig deeper into what is made available.... that will be better.... and believe me, there is ample material!
bye for now.

Vegas for beginners
Sweetie and I went to Las Vegas to celebrate his birthday. ALLOT to learn for newbies, but once you catch on it's fun!
My first strange encounter was right after we checked into the MGM. Our room was not yet ready, and so the front desk suggested that we check our bags in with the bell desk. We made our way over to the bell desk line as there were many other people checking in...
So we handed our bags to the bell guy, and after I thanked him he held the claim ticket and looked at me... I was expecting our claim ticket, but he did nothing but stand there, all the while I was thinking "why is this guy not giving me the ticket". Anyways, thank goodness for Paul. During the awkward silence he realized that the bell guy wanted a tip before he would give us the claim ticket. He handed him some cash, and then we went on our merry way.
I felt so silly, but my logic was telling me that I was supposed to get something before I gave a tip. Oh well. Lesson learned.
Next time, I'll be sure to book our flight and arrival time for later in the day. This way, our room should be available when we arrive. Keep the cash flow to a minimum.
